Where Bob Filtro gets its power
Bob Filtro’s filter media is a very high-porosity biochar made from açaí seeds, a residue that, when improperly discarded, contaminates soil and rivers and releases methane into the atmosphere.
Through the Colab initiative (Aquarela Eco × Resix × Águia de Fogo), these seeds are collected by communities in the Amazon, transformed by pyrolysis and chemically activated, becoming a filter that captures and neutralizes odor-causing gases. What is Bob Filtro for?
The Aquarela Eco Bob Filtro is a gas filter developed to eliminate the foul-smelling gases coming from anaerobic wastewater treatment systems, such as septic tanks and biodigesters.
How often should I replace the filter element?
Bob Filtro was sized so that the filter element is replaced, on average, every 12 months. This period may vary depending on usage habits and the sizing of the ventilation system.
Can I use any charcoal as the filter element?
No. The carbon used in Bob Filtro was developed together with specialists to ensure high efficiency, durability and sustainability. Keep an eye on our official channels to learn more about this initiative.
Does Bob Filtro attract mosquitoes?
No. Mosquitoes and other pests are attracted by bad smells. Besides eliminating odors, Bob Filtro has a design that keeps insects out of the sewer system.
Can I leave Bob Filtro exposed on the roof of my house?
Yes. Bob Filtro is made of high-quality polyethylene with additives that make it resistant to sun exposure, rain and other weather conditions.
What if my house has no vent pipe?
You can install a simple branch on the pipe that carries wastewater to the treatment system, using a tee fitting positioned vertically. Choose an accessible spot so the filter element can be replaced and the gases can disperse properly.
Can Bob Filtro be used to filter biogas?
No. Bob Filtro was designed to filter the foul-smelling gases from anaerobic sewage systems. It is not suitable for biodigesters intended to generate biogas and liquid fertilizers.
I have a built septic tank or a biodigester from another brand. Can I install Bob Filtro?
Yes! Bob Filtro is compatible with any anaerobic wastewater treatment system, including septic tanks and biodigesters from other brands.
