The Aquarela Eco Grease Trap System was developed to retain and treat the grease, oils and solids in kitchen wastewater. Made of high-strength rotomolded polyethylene, in a seamless single-piece body, it is durable, sustainable and easy to install and maintain. It is especially suited for residential use and highly recommended for properties with alternative wastewater treatment systems.
It was designed above the level required by the Brazilian standard, based on European standards, which are stricter on grease retention. An extra safeguard to prevent clogs and protect your treatment system.

Physical separation + enzymatic action
The system combines gravity separation with the biological action of enzymes.
- Effluent inlet: it passes through the inlet connection and comes into contact with the enzymatic tablet, receiving a dose of enzymes.
- Temperature reduction: inside the reservoir the effluent cools down, keeping dissolved grease from moving on to the pipes and the treatment system.
- Density separation: grease and oils float; heavy solids settle; the cleaner intermediate water stays in the middle.
- Enzyme action: the enzymes break down grease molecules, turning them into organic matter that degrades more easily.
- Effluent outlet: the intermediate liquid, with much less grease and solids, flows on to the sewer network, septic tank or biodigester.
Technical specifications
The concrete base, the protective slab and the inlet and outlet piping are the responsibility of the construction site.
Enzymatic tablet: less maintenance
The Grease Trap System comes with an initial enzymatic tablet that acts on the accumulated grease, breaking down its molecules naturally and continuously. The internal piping and the 260-liter volume were designed precisely to extend the life of this tablet.
The system works by physical separation and operates with or without the tablet: it reduces how often maintenance is needed, but does not eliminate it. The tablet acts on grease, but does not treat the solid food waste that goes down the drain, which still requires periodic cleaning.
Replacement is simple and keeps the system efficient over time.

What is the Aquarela Eco Grease Trap System?
It is a grease trap developed to retain and treat the grease, oils and solids present in kitchen wastewater. It keeps this waste from moving on through the pipes, reducing the risk of clogs and bad odors. Made of single-piece rotomolded polyethylene (seamless), it is resistant, durable and easy to install.
What sets it apart from a regular grease trap?
Three things work together: the integrated enzymatic tablet, which breaks down grease molecules; the larger working volume, which extends the action of the tablet and lowers the temperature of the effluent; and the engineered internal piping that optimizes the life of the tablet. The tablet also works in regular grease traps, but lasts much less: the difference lies in the combination.
Does it need maintenance?
Yes. Maintenance is recommended every 6 months, depending on how intensively it is used. Using the enzymatic tablets can extend this interval, reducing how often cleaning is needed.
Is it compatible with septic tanks and biodigesters?
Yes. The Grease Trap System is installed before the main treatment and is compatible with septic tanks, biodigesters and sewer networks.
What should not go down the sink?
To protect the system, avoid disposing of: solid food scraps, large amounts of frying oil, cloths or paper, plastic materials and harsh chemicals (such as caustic soda and solvents).
What is the warranty?
5 years against manufacturing defects, from the date of the purchase invoice, which can be extended to 7 years (5+2) by registering for the extended warranty.
